Get started
To get started you only need a willingness to problem solve. Technical expertise is NOT required.
- You could apply to your local council for a small grant to cover the costs of perhaps a couple of tablets and cases and initial connectivity charges, if required. Or ask for the free use of a building.
- You could advertise for local volunteers to support people getting online for the first time. Can your Parish Council or a local community group help?
- Maybe ask for donations of old tech from your community, being firm in not accepting tech that will not be useful.
- Ensure volunteers avoid learning passwords and financial and other personal details.
- Be reliable. Establish a regular meeting time, weekly or fortnightly.
